Everglades
One of Avastone’s latest simulations,
Everglades brings to life immense challenges
around sustainability. Cast
within the true complexities of the State
of Florida and the world’s largest
ecological restoration project, the simulation
offers deep immersive engagement in the cross-sector
tensions, conflicts, and interests of industry,
communities, and environmental groups. The
simulation plays out over a 20-year timeframe
and calls for the true “work of leadership.” The
experience is portrayed through separate
organizational challenges; interplay with
adjoining sectors; and through community
forums for collective policy, planning, action,
execution, and realization of outcomes. Both
understanding and action are called upon
in the challenge. The simulation is conducted
in an indoor conference center environment
and is distinguished by the realism through
which the essence of the Everglades situation
is captured and reflected. Small
